This patch is for Pine version 4.60. It includes the same functionality as the 4.53 patch. Although Pine has added in the "Enable disable-sender" option, which we let you use in the 4.53 option, we have completely removed it from this version, so it doesn't matter what you set that option to. This version primarily removes the lag when using roles and replying/forwarding, and removes the too informative "Message-ID". Even with pines new "randomize" Message-ID, that can sometimes get tagged as spam. It also removed the type of OS you are running, the Pine version and the PID of the process that pine is running as. There is absolutely no reason to attach this sort of information on an E-Mail.

This patch is for Pine version 4.53. It includes the same functionality as the 4.50 patch, except it now uses the new feature in Pine 4.51, that allows you to disable the Sender header, in your own configuration file [Enable disable-sender]. It also tweaks your Roles, so it doesn't wait 4 seconds when sending via a role, something I found highly annoying.

This patch is for Pine version 4.50 , it includes the same functionality as the patch released for 4.44 by Roger Marquis, with a couple of additional things.

It allows for you to specify your own Sender and X-Sender headers, by using Customized Headers. (We removed those lines from being "restricted headers"). It also hacks up the Message-ID a bit. It takes out your pine version, the process ID of pine, and the compiled platform (LNX, GSO, etc). You also might want to change the hostname in the Message-ID from somehost.domain.com to your own. I hard coded this in, because when using roles, it still sets your domain name to the machines primary. This breaks RFC compliance, if you don't use your real hostname, however won't break functionality.
